The Therapy Lounge Leeds
About Me
With a BA (Hons) in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling, I bring both academic insight and extensive real-world experience to my practice. Over the years, I have worked closely with individuals from diverse and marginalised communities, supporting those facing complex and often overlapping challenges. Alongside my private practice, I also work within a Youth Wellbeing Service, offering emotional health support to young people.
I have years of experience supporting clients with issues such as trauma, domestic and sexual violence, identity and cultural experiences (including racism, islamophobia and migration), relationship difficulties, low self-worth, loneliness, and experiences of crisis. I also work with individuals navigating faith, spirituality, and questions of belonging. My practice is trauma-informed and sensitive to the wider social and systemic factors that can shape your life.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor my work to your individual needs. I work collaboratively with you to understand your goals, whether that’s processing past experiences, managing current difficulties, or developing greater self-awareness and resilience. I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels right for you.
My way of working is relational, paying close attention to the therapeutic relationship we build together. I believe this connection can offer a powerful space for reflection, growth and healing. I aim to work with warmth, empathy and honesty, while also gently supporting you to explore patterns, challenges and possibilities for change.
I am a Registered Member of the BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework. I engage in regular Clinical Supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure my work remains ethical, reflective and responsive.
I offer sessions face to face, online and over the phone, providing flexibility to suit your needs.
I am an Integrative Relational Counsellor with a strong commitment to providing a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. My approach is grounded in building a trusting therapeutic relationship, recognising that meaningful change often begins when you feel heard, understood and accepted.
